Yes, I am back to embroidery land after a lengthy hiatus. I still want to do artwork but I am under the gun to get this piece finished in time to enter the County Fair this year.
I also wanted to share this find! I was in desperate need of self-containing storage for my embroidery spools. I prefer using rolls instead of hanks now. It is much more convenient for me. I found a train case for cosmetics at Walmart and it definitely did the trick! This case holds all my embroidery floss balls, needles, pin cushion, etc. There is also room for growth (more balls) in the future. The price point for this case is $25 which is totally decent.
I hope your summer is going well!

Swan Girl WIP #3
It’s coming along as well as I hope! I will be adding more swan feathers then start the embellishment of the ballerina outfit.
I am preparing myself for the Dorothy piece and I definitely need to hit up a bead store either in person or online. I need to buy a TON of red beads.
If anyone is interested in any pieces I’ve done, please feel free to contact me.

Little Red WIP#1
This is the wip! I hope to get the white beading done on the teeth, Little Red’s cloak, and the trees. The brown foreground will be accented with embroidery.

Little Mermaid WIP #2
I have gone back on this project. I hope to add beading to the waves. I hope I can get it done soon so I can return to Rococo Cinderella afterwards. This may be up for sale in my Etsy store in the future.

Nicole WIP#1
I’m making a hoop for Nicole to place in front of her door to her beautiful craft room. This is what I have done so far. It still needs “sewing room” stitched on as well as small embellishments. I hope to be done this project by the middle of next week. The satin stitching is taking forever but is so worth it.

Little Mermaid WIP #2
This is my little mermaid project. I don’t know when I’ll get back to her time wise. I’ll be starting Nicole’s hoop soon and then doing doll dressmaking afterwards. I do have high hopes to get this piece finished with beading for the water and on her mermaid tale.

Little Mermaid WIP#1
This is the current small project I’m working on. The colour palette will be muted tones of blue, white, and yellow. I hope to be finished by next week or so. I chose the words “Part of Your World” because in essence, the story is about an immortal longing to be mortal- a bridging of two worlds. I will be using bead embroidery in this piece.
This weekend, I hope to make a run to Mary Maxim’s in Paris. Mary Maxim’s is an arts and crafts store. I want to pick up beading needles, more felt, and embroidery floss. My sister gave me craft money for my birthday and I’ll be spending every penny.

It’s almost done! It just needs the embroidered embellishments. Leah’s hoop should be finished by the weekend.

I am really pleased at how my lettering has progressed. I think I may have stumbled on lettering I’ll use for all the names I have to do. I am contemplating redoing Jorja’s lettering. Oyy. Perfectionists always make more work for themselves. I really do enjoy doing lettering.
Tonight I hope to start on the little friend for Leah or Leah herself. I imagine this project to be done by the end of the week.
I’m also looking for straw wreaths around here. I want to use one as a personal DIY for Natalie’s room. I hope to post instructions and perhaps a tutorial if I can ever get my hands on one. Ordering online costs $10.00 at least in shipping for a $3.00 item. If I can’t find anything around here, I may just cave in.
