Stone Mantilla
Second piece in the nature series. I have one more digital piece in mind for the series. Then I will continue working on the fairy tale project.
I know it has been a while and I know you all thought I have abandoned embroidery. Fear not, I will have an embroidery post soon! I am also thinking of executing Curioser and Curioser into an embroidery piece!
How is your summer going?

It took a while but I have finally found my style. This is it. I love this turned out and my line work addiction is showcased well. Prints will be available as soon as I get my printer up and running. I need to revamp my etsy shop as well.
I am off to take pictures of textures now for future works!
Have you been doodling lately?

Les Folies
This is a piece I’ve drawn in a vintage style. I am still trying to hammer down my personal style. I know I love the linework in this piece and I will continue this trend in the next piece. I keep thinking of girls with copious hair and animals. As for the embroidered themed pieces you have seen before, I intend to recreate those in actual embroidery. Expect a Follow Me Home and Curiouser & Curiouser in the future.
What have you all been up to? Summer is here!

Lace & Her
I got a chunky art store gift certificate from my sister and it’s given me a chance to return to illustration. I’ve decided to try something new and use copics/inks on wood canvas. The above is the result of a spontaneous afternoon of doodling. I may put that up in my Etsy shop once I figure out the shipping costs. It’ll be around the $25-$30 range plus shipping.
I’m currently working on the piece below. It’s totally spontaneous and I have no idea what I’ll be doing next. I kind of like this seat of my pants method. I am usually pretty meticulous about planning out a piece. This process is kind of nice and organic.

WIP
I will be picking up my artwork from Aboveground this weekend. Thanks for those who managed to make it to Aboveground and see it in person. 🙂 It means so much to me.

I had the biggest urge to sketch last night and this is the result. It’s inspired by a friend’s comment to a photo I posted a while ago. There will be a sewn companion piece that will complement this in the future. I have the itch to draw something really large that I can work on a little bit a day but do I have time?
Sometimes I wish I had enough time to devote to writing, drawing, and sewing. If I could split myself into three pieces and have those three creative pieces just work away… Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
