Hello everyone! I’m back. I resolve to keep this blog updated. For now, I present Christmas stockings galore! I bought three Bucilla kits from Herrschners and have finished them in time for Christmas. My little family now has custom stockings.

Christmas Wreath

Yes, the greeting I used the PC version. I am alive and well. I finished my novel back in early December. I will begin edits right after Christmas. In the meantime, I had to let the manuscript sit. While it sat, I felt like I needed more holiday stress. I began this Bucilla kit and finished it in a week and a half. Yes I pretty much killed myself. I believe this kit is meant to be finished in at least two weeks or more. I was determined to have it hung on our front door by Christmas and lo and behold, it’s up!

I’ve changed the pattern and made my tweaks to make it my own. I hope you all are with loved ones and having that wonderful epic holiday meal you look forward to all year long. I may be starting more embroidery projects in the new year but it all depends on the editing of my novel. 🙂

Follow the Breadcrumbs

September 10th, 2012 § 3 comments § permalink

I have been slaving over this piece for months now. Due to recurring migraines and shoddy health, it was only recently that I have finished it. This is heavily beaded and I am quite pleased at how it turned out.

I will be going on vacation soon. I pray the migraines stay away I don’t know yet what to do next. Any suggestions? 🙂

I hope you are all well!

Stone Mantilla

Stone Mantilla

Second piece in the nature series. I have one more digital piece in mind for the series. Then I will continue working on the fairy tale project.

I know it has been a while and I know you all thought I have abandoned embroidery. Fear not, I will have an embroidery post soon! I am also thinking of executing Curioser and Curioser into an embroidery piece!

How is your summer going?

Les Folies

Les Folies

This is a piece I’ve drawn in a vintage style. I am still trying to hammer down my personal style. I know I love the linework in this piece and I will continue this trend in the next piece. I keep thinking of girls with copious hair and animals. As for the embroidered themed pieces you have seen before, I intend to recreate those in actual embroidery. Expect a Follow Me Home and Curiouser & Curiouser in the future.

What have you all been up to? Summer is here!

Artwork & A New Direction

Curiouser & Curiouser

I have new artwork! I hope to have prints available at Etsy soon and I have a secret project planned for sale as well. I’ve made all this art on the Ipad using Procreate. I am currently working on a dragon and a prince. I’ve been doing a ton of painting in my spare time when I’m not sick. I still have a road test coming up. I hope to get everything rolling soon. Thanks for being patient.

Have you stumbled on some road blocks lately as well?

Chii from Chobits

I am back from Doll North 2012 and I am pleased to say I have won Best In Show!

This is what I have been slaving over the past few weeks. I have one more huge thing to deal with before I will get back fully into the swing of things.

Art, writing, and doll sewing are in the pipeline. I hope you all are well and coping with the summer heat.

A Christmas Gift for Kelly

Le Petit Prince

This is a gift I made for my friend Kelly. She is an amazing illustrator. Her favourite book is Le Petit Prince. This quote means: Only children know what they are looking for.

I’m glad it turned out the way I envisioned it.

I am now off to finish Dorothy, get some doll stuff started, maybe start an illustration, or make preparations to start Snow White’s round hoop and Hansel and Gretel’s frame.

Aboveground and Dorothy

December 8th, 2011 § 2 comments § permalink

Dorothy WIP #4

Dorothy is progressing…. slowly!

I dropped off my artwork yesterday at the Aboveground and also indulged in art supplies! I couldn’t help myself. I got two wooden canvases, tiny paintbrushes, a tombow dual brush set, ink pens, and varnish/gloss. Oh, and the adorable zippered kitty pouch! Thanks to my friend Fishie who gave me a GC. It helped with the financial damage of the day. 8D

December is gonna be busy. I’m still working on a Secret Santa embroidery gift. I should really get on that now.

If you want to check out my work, it will be shown at the Aboveground (it’s right beside OCAD in downtown Toronto) for a month:
