Aboveground and Dorothy

Dorothy WIP #4

Dorothy is progressing…. slowly!

I dropped off my artwork yesterday at the Aboveground and also indulged in art supplies! I couldn’t help myself. I got two wooden canvases, tiny paintbrushes, a tombow dual brush set, ink pens, and varnish/gloss. Oh, and the adorable zippered kitty pouch! Thanks to my friend Fishie who gave me a GC. It helped with the financial damage of the day. 8D

December is gonna be busy. I’m still working on a Secret Santa embroidery gift. I should really get on that now.

If you want to check out my work, it will be shown at the Aboveground (it’s right beside OCAD in downtown Toronto) for a month:

Dickens and Chocolate!

December 3rd, 2011 § 3 comments § permalink

We went by the 16th annual Dickens Christmas Craft Show in Simcoe. We go every year. This year I was determined to pick up something for the house. I wanted something warm and specific. We’ve been in our house for five years now. It’s about time I started decorating. We picked up the above wreath for $23.50. It is hanging in our dining room. I’m pretty happy with it. It’s an all year round wreath. The price is pretty sweet as well.

Afterwards, we headed to the Sweet Shoppe- a new chocolate store in Simcoe. The place smelled AMAZING! The owner was making waffles to roll into cigars and then dip into chocolate. We picked up a small box of truffles. I’m so happy this new place opened in town. Every town needs a chocolate shoppe!
