Unearthing a Treasure

I was searching for a missing pair of scissors yesterday when I came upon this which I lovingly store in safe keeping. This is a Francesco Rubinato gilded glass pen set I saw in a specialty pen and paper shoppe while I was working at the bank to pay off tuition. It was love at first sight. I splurged and I never regretted  it. I have used it twice using silver ink. There is just something magical about it. I hope to have it out for display whenever I get a studio. In the meantime, I open the box when the sun is out and just sit there and let it sparkle.

There will be a sewing update tomorrow. I spent last night embroidering the trim and it took all the free time I had. It didn’t look like much so I figure I’d wait until tomorrow when I’ll have substantial progress.
